vortex generator gone

i installed my vortex generator two days ago and it wasn't sealed all the way around and it happened to rain that night and i was on the freeway then my vortex generator flew off my car.. my guess is that the rain got in and weakened the tape and i didn't put on the antannae yet because it didn't line up with the whole so i was planning on drilling another hole the next day, but now i can't.. just thought i'd share because now i'm sad, and i'm scared to put my eyelids on..

Sounds like you needed to start over anyway - you shouldn't have to drill or glue any part of a VG if it's done right. Was this a Mitsu item or a knock-off?

Don't use glue. Sounds like you either used the wrong kind of tape or didn't use enough.

Is that a pic of yourself otter?

And let me guess, I'm not the first to ask that question.

What's there to see? An empty roof edge, or a VG squashed like roadkill?

With the vortex generator definatly dont use the stock tape that comes with, go to home depot or what ever you have and get the heavy duty all weather double sided tape, ive had mine on through every kind of weather for about 6 months and its strong as ever. The eyelids...other than just not looking right and a little too cheap even with the red tape mine both blew off i guess maybe because my headlights got too hot??
