ok i called mitsu today and they tell me the 06ra bumper is $945
and the 06es bumper is $685....


do you guys know if these are the exact same bumpers? or are they different in fitting?

 

Price probably has more to do with the fact that the 06 is current and 04 is not.

As for fitment i cant see why they wouldnt be interchangeable but do a little research on it.

The only difference between bumpers is the RA bumper has the ground effects kit. The "kit" is probably the reason for the higher price. The fitment should be the same between the two.

 

ground kit ....... are u referring to the lip??

my lip is fine n dandy..i jus need the middle portion...

the part numbers seem to be diff with color.... n the parts guy gave me a # before and i coulndt even search it online....

so im assuming the es bumper has attachment sites for me to put the RA lip on???

Yes...
They share the same bumper as stated. Call your local Mitsu dealer to verify the place to attach the RA lip. I am 99% sure there is...

in the thread title you put 04 but in your first post you put 06, is it a 04 es bumper your after?
06 lip wont fit a 04 bumper i believe, atleast 04-05 lips dont fit 06 bumpers perfectly.

im just looking to replace the front bumper...i dont care if its the 04 or 06...
as long as it fits my 06RA with the 06front lip

But yea the 06 bumper should be fairly compatible with the 04 one, but i don't know anyone who's tried it. I don't know if the mounting points are the exact same, mainly cause i haven't seen one in person yet, but the definitely have the same shape and size from pictures i've seen.

 

alrite finally found a decent deal... gettin my original fixed for four bills... there was no way i was gona donate my money to mitsu for a new one...

 

If you want to use an 06 front lip, then you must use an 06 front bumper. 04 lips won't fit the 06 bumper, and 06 lips won't fit the 04 bumper, obviously.
