K&N with Injen CAI

Hey guys.

I ordered a K&N filter for the Injen CAI cause i am using the one filter for the summer and one for the winter. before i pick it up and spend the money can anyone give me some advice on it?

- Can anyone tell me if i will experience any probs with the K&N filter because of the oil filter?

-I know the injen filter is oiled as well, but how does the K&N filter hold up with a little wetness?

-Any history of the K&N oil clogging the maff???

I need to pick up the filter, but if its crap i dont want it so please any advice for me would be appreciated.

I really wouldn't worry about it, I've cleaned my filter 3-4 times with the KN oil and never had a problem both SRI and CAI. Just make sure you don't get crazy with the oil and put too much on.

I was also thinking of getting a k&n filter because of its reputation plus of course for the performance upgrade. All i hear are good things about it and its an upgrade you can atually feel a diff. from. K&N is like top of the line for intakes.
If you're like me and dont want to do all that maintanance oiling then you should try the new AEM filter which needs no oiling and is rewashable hahah also i had the mentality that intakes are all the same with the exception of K&N.

From what I understand, K&N produces the filters for AEM and Injen intake systems. Either way you go you are buying a K&N filter. Just invest in a filter recharger kit, follow the instuctions, and you will be fine.

+1 Plus, cleaning the filter is so simple, no need to buy two

Hey. I'm looking to replace the filter that came with my Injen CAI. Does anyone know what size or the part number for a K&N replacement?

Thanks.

they are standard sized cone filters, the main thing is the pipe size. You can measure the OD of your pipe to find out what size filter is on.

I want to say the Injen part # for our filter is X-1013-BR. Someone correct me if I am wrong...

You can always get the K&N dryflow if you dont want to get the recharge kit all you have to do is clean it out with water
