To my knowledge you can't hear the switch over on the new 4B11 DOHC Mivec either...

 

back when i had just a sri, at 3500 id hear the deep loud sound swirch over to swooshing airy sound.

but now with the MF exhaust i dont hear it

 

Mine always sounds thru the exhaust(weird) at 4100 rpm, but it does it sometimes and not in WOT...my friends tell me it always sounds but I cant hear it cuz of the intake. Its like a little pick up sound, like if I just accelerated a bit more

An on the new Lancers you actually hear the pick up of the car when the timing adjusts at wot on a lower gear, if u have an intake or no air filter

 

You can't hear MIVEC switch over because it doesn't. It's not like V-TEC. It doesn't change cam profiles. All MIVEC does is change the angle of the cam.

 

I deleted your previous post for a reason; because you're incorrect. It only changes the cam angle on the 4G63, but on the 4G69 is changes valve opening and duration, as well.
