Stop trying to find a reason to do so, its illegal and thats that. If it's not illegal in your state, i'm pretty sure it'll come to a state near you.
Dude.... right on. Thank you! Trust me in cali they will find any reason to pull you over and write a ticket. Whether its the local cop who no one likes or the governator himself.
Either way no matter where you are just be smart and keep the cat, whether its HF or not. Just think of it as the cat is your cars condom when it comes to fines and tickets.

Just get a HIGH FLOW cat. Right now in OK we dont have safty or smog inspections soooooo we really dont need to have a cat ect. I still will run a cat (high flow though) on my car becuase you never know when there one going to just start to come back with smog and safty inspections. Trust me when I say that all these LITTLE kids running around in hondas ect that take there cats off ect will be paying the price when it comes time for the smog and safty inspections to come back around. OK goes in sycles sooooo its going to happen again in the next few years. Then all these POSes will be junked or not allowed to drive on the road becuase they cant pass smog or safty. Plus no CAT is against the law no matter where you are.

SOOOOO do all you evo owners go and pay the local smog shop off when you get your stickers, YES is USE to live in calli and know how it works, Or do you waste your time and swap the cat in and out every year?????

People will always find a way to get around the law.. its life and its human nature to go against things that you don't believe in even if its being enforced.

This thread has turned into a very touchy topic of conversation eh?

its very simple, either you go with a high flow cat which is legal or if you really want a test pipe then get it but dont be surprised if you get pulled over.

^not as loud, but still illegal in all 50 states. Not because every state has emissions laws but because it's FEDERALLY MANDATED. It's really a personal responsibilty IMO. I am very O'ated by the way

jesus christ people who cares. if you get down right technical it can be illiegal in some states to change any stock part with a non stock part. do you complain when someone throws a CAI on a car when its illegal in their area?

/\ exactly! I mean a HFC is still illegal since you are modifying the exhaust anyway. you cant do that here in cali. its in the CVC handbook that states ANY modification to the vehicles exhaust system is illegal. But cat.. no cat... whatever. To each his own. Is it bad to run without a cat, yes since it is illegal, but I am going to do it anyways. Same can go for smoking a cig. Is it bad? its proven that it is... some people still have not quit the habit. Eating unhealthy food... bad?... its proven... people still do. But to get back on the original question... You wont get too much gain from going catless. You will get more if you modify the down pipe since that is where the kink is. I can take picks to show you how the stock down pipe looks compared to the one RRM has to offer and its night and day diff.

can we get an age check in this forum soon?
ill be willing to be that those who are for removal of the cat
are under 17.
jeez girls, are you even old enough to get periods?

grow up, dan has the right message,
you wanted our oppinion,
if for a 2hp gain you want to lose our respect and possible 1.5g's
be my guest.
and fyi
you void your warranty changing out stock parts,
but its not illegal (maybe if its a lease it is, dunno)

my advice to the mods.
close this thread. these kids are clueless.
