+1 to gap coverage. It was around $275 (one time fee) for my car, from the bank itself. I hope I never have to use it, but if I do at least I won't be stuck holding my... you get the idea.

Why in the hell would you not want it to be totaled?
What if more problems start arising with this car after it's repaired? What if they are gonna do a crappy job repairing it? After you're done with it and ready to move on, I wanna see you try selling a car that's been in a serious accident, you won't get **** for it. Good luck.

yeah, but the car isn't worth squat after a year or so anyway. as far as repairing it, if you have a descent insurance company it is guaranteed, and if they can't get it back to pre-accident condition for whatever reason they will normally either total it or offer some kind of depreciation.

cause that sounds like a faulty tie rod to me...
it is an 04 and it mighta been due for those to be replaced,
but if im wrong, and that is the cause of your accident, i think you might have a lawsuit.
correct me if im wrong guys,
not like its never happened before.

No the wheels were like this

Try *.jpg or *.JPG or *.JPEG

$7,000+ in damages? To me thats a totalled car right there. That's almost a second hand ralliart traded in at the dealership!

I hope the best for you but I doubt the car will ever be the same.
