Bike carrier question??
I'm not familiar with these companies, but the reasoning why i suggest a 3 bike rack as opposed to a 2 bike rack is not only will it have longer arms, it'll also have the mounting points for the bikes farther from the car. Just use the two outtermost mounts to put the bike on and it shouldn't hit the car. As for the spoiler concern.. our spoilers are a bit on the high side to get a bike rack to clear it...
Thanks for trying the Bones 3, good thing I didn't order that one, hopefully I will have better luck with the RS model. It is cool since it has a built in lock and ratcheting strap system. It definatly is a sweet rack, but really pricey, on sale for 219.00 is not to bad w/lifetime guarentee.
Hmmmm...
I work at a bicycle shop: I got a Thule roof rack on my Ra Sportback. For the sedan with the OEM spoiler you could try the Saris BONES 3 bike carrier (between $140-150 retail). I sold the last one at the shop this morning so I could not test fit it to the RA sedan of one of my friends at the pizza restaurant around the corner...
