Performance chips

I have an automatic 2005 lancer ralliart and I was hoping to get some advice on which performance chip would benefit my car the most. I know nothing on the subject and have had no luck finding out anything. So anything will be helpful, even links. Thanks in advance

they don't make chips for our cars as far as I know... I have been in the lancer domain for a little over 4 years now and never heard of chip upgrades...

http://www.roadracemotorsports.com has a piggyback ecu upgrade but I don't think that would be considered a chip...

Haltech have just released there new Miniceptor unit as well. This is exactly the same as the Haltech Interceptor, but is in a metal non sealed box instead of the plastic waterproof box.

Advantages none
Price - they retail in Australia for around $660.00 AUD$ not sure what that is in teh USA.

What does it do - everything that any other piggy back does and more with ignition control, inbuilt eletronic closed loop boost control, shift lights, speed deliminitor removal etc.

Too bad there isn't a distributor out here in the U.S. for these products that will respond to email. I'm very interested in buying the header, perhaps the miniceptor , the phenolic spacers, and considering the cam (not sure I like the idea of a regrind yet), but paying shipping from Australia is crazy - and accolade is charging the same as what it would cost to have it shipped from Australia, so not very appealing either.

You mean you want to reflash the stock ECU... sorry, but can't do that yet, and maybe not ever. You see there has to be enough interest for a company to invest money/time into reverse engineering the ecu. And quite frankly there just isn't enough RA's on the road to justify the costs of this.

Supposedly Works (http://www.worksevo.com/store/produc...roducts_id=306) has one in the "works", but it has been "coming soon" for quite some time now.

Your best bet is the RRM piggy, but make sure you know someone who is competent enough to use the SplitSecond software. Don't even think about touching the base tune unless you really know what you are doing. Of course in addition to the piggy, you will also need some kind of wideband for data logging for a proper tune.

RPW Camshafts are not regrinds - ours are brand new billet units. We have never sold a regrind camshaft yet for the late model mitsubishi vehicles

I should have elaborated. I have an extra camshaft here now that I am considering sending in for a regrind, or just buying one from RPW.
