srs light

this morning i noticed my srs light was on. and its been on all day. it did rain for a few hours and i left my windows down a little, but i dink think it could cause it.

any ideas?

maybe you might have a faulty sensor or rats got to srs

Just like with a CEL, it's pointless to guess without having the dealer pull the code.

Canadian tire had an ODBII reader sale last year I think.. 80 or so bucks for one of their good ones. Kicking my *** now for not picking one up. Really wanted one :P

Get the code pulled, it could be any number of things, I 'dink' think it's worth guessing LOL.

The SRS system is independant of the OBDII system, so an OBDII reader won't work. He needs to go someplace with an SRS reader.

same thing happened to me SRS light came on i took it to Mitsu and they installed a brand new SRS ecu

I don't know if this one is any good, but I saw it in a flyer the other day. It's at Part Source.

The code can be anything from a new srs ecu being needed to just 1 of the sensors needing to be replaced. The only way you can tell is by using an SRS reader which is not-readable with your standard OBD II code reader. Your best bet is taking the car to mitsu.
