HID question?

to all the peeps who have HID's , do you guys have any discoloration on your headlights? i want to do a HID conversion but heard bout some discoloration, my friends is300 and another friends escalade are starting to do it and theirs comes stock. just wanted to get a heads up before i do it!

are you talking about discoloration of the bulb, or the outside of the headlamp...my stock headlights are getting that weathered, faded look to them so my hids are not as bright as they should be...

I've got HID conversion in my stock headlight for around one and a half year, and I don't see any problem at yet!

Is there a polishing compound that gets rid of that discoloration in the headlight housing/lens? I seem to recall there being something to get rid of the yellowing.

yeah the outside of the headlamp, i wonder what makes them get like that?

yeah u can go to any auto parts store to find the cleaner ive got a bottle called plastx by meguiars worked wonders on my head lights

i think its caused by weathering...ive seen it on alot of cars...i guess unless your car sits in a garage most of the time its parked you wouldnt have to worry about it...
