No heat!

I figured it was the thermostat and since it was cheap, changed it. No dice, still no hot air coming through.

The HVAC knob is funky, like most ralliarts, but other then that I dont know what else it could be.

Any one have any suggestions?

Thanks!

well, to get the heater core out it looks like you need to remove the instrument panel, front seat, front floor console, and carpet, drain the engine coolant and refrigerant (according to the maintenance manual).

more likely though it's the cable from the knob to the flap controlling air access to the heater core. there's a couple threats about this in this forum... broken heater knob.

Hey man,

I just had to have my heater blower replaced yesterday. I was making noise and sometimes not coming on. Is your Thermostat saying the engine is up to temp or not. If the engine temp is up it is likely the blower. It cost me $202 and change to replace. If you are good with cars you may be able to get one at a junk yard cheap and replace yourself.

Let us know how it go's.
