ˆI wash my car once a week and when I do I spend about 30 min wiping down everything I can with those clean wipes and armor-all wipes. I'm curious to hear other methods as well.

same here but you have to washe your engine when you hit puddles and **** the engine gets wet. lol.. i covered the intake, the throtle(the group of colored wires) alternater, and just a few wires i could see but nothing else really, i sprayed it down with the engine cleaner, then i have a nosle on the hose thats called mist setting you use that to wash it off, i repeated this 2 times then after i covered the alternater again and used engine detailer. The cleaner-degreaser is like 3$ and the detailer is like 8$.

if you spray engine detailer and it gets on the altenator.. lets just say call the fire department but they sell engine cleaner and degreaser at any auto parts store the engine is 99% waterproof anyway theres nothign to worryabout. just cover the things i said and also the fuse box.. i used tin foil easy to mold around stuff

what cleaner/degreaser would you recommend? any instructions on how to use it and did you have to mix it w/ water before you sprayed or just did it straight?

its a bottle made just for cleaning your engine, its engine cleaner lol. You spray it on your whole engine and it like foams up you let it sit for like 5 minutes then mist it down.. the repeat if you want.. so id buy 2 bottles. there is directions right on the can. idk what they have in chicago but go to like autozone , pep boys , R&S anthing like that(idk if you have them by you) lol. its easy alot of people clean their engine so its nothing to be worried about .. even though i was lol

i used a brand called gunk.. my friend said they ahve been around for a long time and he told me to use that and it worked good lol, and i got some random detailer. This was my first time cleaning an engine. My 60 year old uncle across the st cleans his once a month lol no worries my friend.. its like 1 12 am here in jersey so i gotta go to sleep anymore questions send me a messagee peaceee outtt
