well good luck dude! i think it will be near impossible to recreate the brightness of HID's with a halogen bulb, though. definitely post up pics and stuff when you do it, im anxious to see!

i order two VVME 6000 k ,55waff for my six years old car. when light up ,it looks like the sun .so i never chose colorful hid .

Thanks man! I did already decide to go with 6000k headlights and 3000k fogs, and I didn't realize that our fogs were rated for 55W, so I did 35W all around, and they're plenty bright. (and I never get flashed *knocks on wood*)

They are 35W 3000k HID's from ddmtuning.com, and they are much brighter than a yellow halogen bulb. I got four HID bulbs, four ballasts, and a hi/lo module for the headlights from ddmtuning for about $100 shipped. I got them last September and have had no problems with them since.
