i recently came up with an idea i think would be interesting...and i dont know of any other RA's w/ it done...

since my ft lip is already almost falling off for the most part...(like 5 or 6 t-bolts separated from the lip)...and i should take it off and reglue them on to hold it on properly i thought hey..maybe i should repaint it..its all scuffed up anyway then i thought....well...what if i 2-toned it?

my RA is thunder gray and im thinking of removing the front and rear lip and sideskirts...(mine are oe)...and painting them black...and reinstalling them..(after repairs...)...and also the wheels maybe...and even more..i was thinking my hood is all chipped..(looks like a star field..)...painting it...and then the trunk lid to match...but leave the wing and the license plate section thunder gray for some contrast

i made a "proffesional artist rendering" of it...in paint....(so its not the best)...
but i cant upload it...but you ge t the idea...illl try to get it on here eventually it just may take a day or 2....if i have the time...

It has been done , it looks good up close but from a distance it looks like it's missing the lips. When I saw it it was done to the front lip, side skirts and rear lip. Search in the show and shine section it's in there some where.

imo it'd look better w/ the trunk colors reversed...like i did (in my rendering)...his still looks good..

 

yeah I don't think that looks good. It DOES look like its missing all of the lips, so it looks weird. I would keep it painted the same. If anything, just do the trunk, roof and hood. That's just my opinion, but I do want you to think about it thoroughly and see if its something you really want to do. You basically already can see what your car would look like (referring to the other thread) so if you think that looks cool, then just do it. Thunder gray is a nice color, so you shouldn't black out those pieces. Just repaint the front one or get a new lip like the RRM one (:

 

In my honest opinion it might look a tad bit tacky, I live in SoCal and have seen my fair share of two toned cars and very few can pull it off. Trunk and hood alone wouldn't look bad though. give that a shot first and if you're still itching for a complete two tone, ask someone to "semi-professionally" photoshop it for you. Just my $0.02...

im low on having any $ for painting but i still wana get the lip back on...i know i could just use some 2side tape like ive seen people say in other threads but id rather have it fixed not taped in place...im all but broke and my struts are driving me crazy..everytime i hit a bump it rattles and clunks and its annoying as all hell...so i need to do those before anything else anyway..

i guess ill just take the front off and glue it together and reinstall it as is for now...
