I think it's too early in the MY for rebates considering when the car started hitting showroom floors, but I dunno for certain. Nothin' wrong with hoping, right?

i read the article on the four cars..they seem to really like the ralliart except for the all season tires it had on. for some reason i think 14.97 is a little bit too fast for this car..maybe low 15's but i dunno about sub 14..oh well, time to test drive one

There is a rebate out on the car for 500 dollars. I know this because I bought mine October 29th. The rebate came out November 1st!!! Bummer huh.

I am excited to read the review. It looks promising. It is the first real test I have seen for the Ralliart so far.

how do I submit a pic of my ralliart on these forums? I took my stock RalliArt to the track here in Sacramento and posted a 15.4 Quarter Mile time at 89.61 mph So I'd say high 14's is do-able considering I'm not a professional driver.

I am so jealous. I wish I could get mine out on the strip or the track. Are you planning on doing any autocrossing with it?

I am hoping to get mine out for the first auto cross of the spring season in a few months.

I think that it maybe a typo. As for MotorTrend being the only mag that has tested the new Ralliart..this is also untrue. Road and Track have also gotten their hot hands on one already. Their numbers are the same as mentioned before 7.5 0-60 and 15.7 1/4 mile. This would be about right for the type of power this car is making. I mean look at it's rivals for comparison. They all weigh in about the same and have around about the same HP/trq so the times shopuld be around the same, in theory. Here is a small quote from them: It leaves the line with a pleasant pop, and gets to highway speed quickly while showcasing a hearty supply of low- and mid-range torque. At the test track, the Lancer Ralliart kept up with all but the best of them, running to 60 mph in 7.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 15.7. Dont get me wrong it seems like everyone is really impressed by this car, but don't be fooled into believing this is a 14 second car because it is not.
Sorry to burst some bubbles, but I was there and that's what the Ralliart ran...

I know a stock GSX can't run 14's even with the best of drivers the lowest I was able to get mine was 15.241 in the quarter. Granted it has 210hp and 214tq but it is also 30lbs heavier than the Lancer plus the lancer is a 2.4L which helps it a lot. I don't think it could run 14's but it should be able to run low 15's easily, look someone got a 15.4 and like he said he's not a professional driver either, you put this car in the right hands and maybe, and I mean maybe someone could bust a 14.9 but that would be very hard.

That 14 second time is based on LAUNCHING the car.

You guys are rating the power of the car from a roll which we all know sucks and runs about 16 seconds with no launch.

A lot of people do not know the difference between timing the car for regular people and when a professional drives it.

Regular test drivers WILL NOT launch the car and just feel the power from a roll. When launched properly almost every car is .3-1 second faster.

Every other car in that test sucks from a roll the same way the ralliart does. Did you test drive the other cars?

It is not unheard of a GSX running a 14.9. It has been posted on "car spec" sites and also by test mags. Please go to DSMTalk and run a search on stock 1/4 miles times. You will see that several (so they claim) have also ran around a 14.9...but it is more common to see times about the same as yours. So totally dismissing a 14.9 cant be had, because it is not unheard of. Yes the ralliart is 30lbs lighter than the eclipse but the 4g63 is also pushing 58tq and 48 more ponies to make up for that. I havent seen anyone else pulling those types of claimed times as Motortrend reported but who is to say it isnt possible, I'm just skeptical at this point. I would just like to see more track results thats all.
