Thats why i had a tranny guy do it. Its assembled a certain way. I got it cracked about a quarter of an inch an it was hanging.

If you do it right, the transmission case basically falls apart, nothing should have cracked, it should come apart quite easily...hope the repair goes well. If you need any help i just had my transmission completely apart, to replace bearings and synchros, and it's back together now. shoot me a PM.

I replaced both bearings for input and output shaft, input shaft oil seal, diff bearings, cause i dropped in an LSD while i was in there, also you will need differential oil seals. If they are worn, i would recommend the input shaft seal you don't want gear oil in the clutch.

also i replied to your part number request

for disassembly, you need to destroy the case cap (MD746157)...other than that i have listed everything that "should" be replaced since it's apart(unless there is synchro wear or gear damage)...and make sure to check the shim tolerance on the differential. And come to think of it, you may want to replace the snap rings on the end of the shaft, where you replace bearings

Well are upgrading your clutch cuz I would upgrade th cmc too just incase I got mine waiting but I havent got anything in cuz im waiting on my new tranny to show up but I imagine bolts will need grinding but I haven't checked yet ill get on that just to see. The heads may need some grinding too the mine are the height and from i see they clear the clutch disc fine but the cm flywheel has so lil room I may do it for some extra measure

I'll let you know very soon, i'll have my ACT 2100 is going in this weekend, i wouldn't think the CM "stage 1" would be stiff enough to blow the master cylinder..

Agreed, I dont think the "stage one" is much different than stock.

I don't think you gentlemen truly understand the weakness that is our CMC....save yourself future headache and swap out to the Evo 8 CMC. There are plenty horror stories on here dating back years of guys blowing their CMCs once they start messing with aftermarket clutches.

Simply put the o-ring in the stock CMC can't take the additional pressure.
