Alignment Issues

Alright so I do apologize if there is a thread already with this in it but I kinda need help for this issue. So let start off by saying I'm on my fourth set of rear tires in 2 months. I had taken my RA to a garage and the mechanic looked at it and said it was rear control arm bushings. So of course what did I do took it to my mechanic and got him to not only change the bushings but the actual control arms with new bushings. So two weeks later two popped tires and me waiting for a tow. Got two new tires put on and on my way. I then took my car to my mechanic today got an alignment done for the first reason being steering wheel was crooked second the mechanic that had done my last tires said that the camber was off. So my mechanic did the alignment and showed me the sheet. My camber was off by 0.53 and my tow was off my 0.82!!!! Madness I must say. According to him all my suspension and alignment components are pushed to the max!?! and can no longer be aligned better so now i am sitting and 0.18 camber and 0.35 tow so I'm still going to be wearing tires. Now my question is does anyone know of a place I am able to get a Rear camber kit as well as a Tow kit like the Front camber kit RRM has which I will be picking up. If anyone has any detailed or suggestions for me I am more than appreciative. As well I would like to say again I apologize for posting this thread if there is one already. Thanks guys

is your suspension modified in any way? lowered? coils? I would start looking for bent parts.

You only need a camber kit for the front..And the rear can be adjusted freely. What kind of tools did your mechanic use to do your alignment? Is it digital?

I bought the car used so I don't know what the guy did it previously but all mechanics who have looked at it think its been lowered.

It's from RRM its a front camber kit and yeah its pretty crazy

the mechanic had adjusted them to max (so he says) and im not sure what tools he used

When you say you have been through 4 set of tyres in 2 months, what exactly is happening to the tyres ?
How are they wearing ?
On the inside, are they scrubbing along the road ?

Having said that there are 3 arms a side on the back, 2 directly impact the wheel alignment. Could be that something else is damaged. When the dealer changed the dog bone arms on my car then did an alignment they NEGLECTED to tell me that the left lower arm was bent. As a result, my camber bolt had been turned to the max when they did the alignment too.

(sigh) For the love of... buy stock suspension components to replace whatever weird crap the previous owner installed and be done with it. Stop wasting time and take it to a Mitsu dealer's mechanic and he will know what your car needs. Surely that is cheaper than all the tires you are buying.

So I brought the car to the local mitsu dealership and left it there for the day while I went to work. I then received a call from their service manager that told me that they couldn't find anything wrong with the suspension, and that nothing was bent. So after I got that call started doing some looking and I found that RRM has a lower tie bar that in there description it says it tightens up the suspension in between the rear lower control arms. So I'm hoping if thats the case it should decrease my camber issue. Shouldn't it? Has anyone purchased this part if so any thoughts?

How did the last alignment go? Did you find out if it was lowered? Should be pretty easy to tell, OEM springs look nothing like any aftermarket springs i've seen, aand you should be able to tell if an OEM spring has been cut. unload your suspension and try wiggling stuff. If anything is loose, it shouldn't be. Also how low does it sit in the rear, maybe your rear springs and struts are toast, all the information is very vague, i can't see how you're getting wear at a level you describe while mechanics and mitsu techs are saying there's nothing wrong.

Another thing you can check is measure the distance between your rear wheels at the front and back, if there's any toe-out you will have wear on the inner edge of your tires, and in combination with negative camber will cause excessive wear. But any mechanic doing a proper alignment should have either corrected for toe, or mentioned something about your rear suspension being fracked.

and for the love of ****, don't buy RRM **** to try to fix anything, they are "performance" aftermarket. A lower tie bar won't solve any alignment problem, it's to add rigidity to the body.

Cranswick on my last alignment which was done at the garage I work at we thoroughly checked over everything and did not see any difference in the springs, we brought in oem springs and the measurements were overall the same. The alignment I had done previous to this one was done at another garage and when we inspected the vehicle the rear was maxed out but I did notice a strut bushing on the passenger side was ripped but supposedly from what the mitsu tech describes "it doesn't affect tire wear". The reason I was thinking about the tiebar was I noticed it was adjustable that's why I asked if it would do anything lol.

As to iceball the rear control arms have been replaced twice.

Has the car been in an accident? Is the frame straight? You can go to a body shop and have them measure the frame to see if it's straight.
