That cdn out the door?...

I figure after sun&sound (maybe...I need a sunroof again...), alarm, tint, and taxes. It should run me 21-22 000 cdn...based on the sales prices I've seen, and the way that the 2 dealerships in town seem to be in a tug-of-war over customers, hehe.

...a guy I know just got a lancer ES on the weekend, he's paying $17,000 for is w/o any options...he thinks he got a deal b/c he got them down from $20,000...I think he got ripped, in part b/c he was looking at an RA and from what he was saying the RA would've cost him $30,000...and to quote "It was 26,000 without even a/c yet"....obviously he didn't do his homework as a/c is standard...

Not exactly, it's not a factory available ooption but it's listed as an accessory package in the accessory catalogue

20k, but I went off the deep end with extended warranty and tire hazard. I've always been a fan of leather, but I love the sport fabric in the RA.

I got my RA for $14,427 USD. 4.7% financing for 72 months. All in all around 17and some change. Sticker with dealer add-ons was 21,749. It took some beating on the salesman and threatening to go buy another Ford but the finally gave me a number i could live with.

Leather is a waste. It won't hold you as well as the cloth will. It will burn you in the summer and be cold in the winter. For the cost of leather you could add intake, exhaust, piggyback and still have money left over.

YMMV

Mine ended up being around 24, 300$ CND with the enviro package added...lease at 1.8%...got the lugs too but she added for free...
Reason mine is a little higher is that I initially went in with them paying off my piece of crap neon (2000$) but then ended up selling threw them...so ended up paying a little out on that...
sticker price on it was almost 23 without taxes so I don't think I got it to bad...paying $388/mth...nothing down only first month (security) and the first two months were paid...

Just wish I could have got some of the add-ons I've seen someone people got ...tints, tips, etc....

I am fighting with a dealer in Barrie, Ontario, Canada. I am getting a Ralliart with the Sun and Sound Package, cash. He has the price at $26,450 and is refusing to budge or throw anything else in (like undercoating, rustproofing, etc) until I put down a $500 deposit. This sounds pretty shady to me, by the looks of what everyone else in Canada is paying, this is too much. If I went with Mitsubishi 0% financing for 48 months, the price would be $28,750 which I talked him down from 29,250. He says I am getting $2000 off the price for paying cash, which drops price to $26,450. Anybody know what the invoice price is in Canada, or what I should be paying for this car in Canada with the sun & sound package? I have $12000 to put down, and can get a bank loan for the rest no problem, but I think I am getting the runaround. Thanks for your help.

well invoice here for a loaded RA is 18750 (5spd) give or take 50 depending on the dealer... if a canadian dollar is worth 1.35 american dollars, their invoice should be around 25,300 ish. import taxes may vary though, considering canada may have different tariff laws and this car is coming all the way from japan.

depending on the salesman, you might be able to ask him to see the actual invoice... as long as his price is between invoice and msrp, i dont think you have to worry... some dealers may sell below invoice... but i dont think it is popular

im not sure about him wanting a deposit up front though, ask him what he will offer you if you do buy the car, or put a deposit down.

if he keeps giving you the runaround, or something doest seem right, keep asking questions... remember, the customer is always right because WE keep them in business.

be prepared to walk out if you dont like things

hope i helped

Thanks for the reply. He did show me a sheet that looked like an invoice, but it was a photocopy, and one side was blacked out. The other side said $21,998. I KNOW this is the M.S.R.P., not the invoice. He said he cannot touch that price, can go no lower. So I guess he is giving me the runaround. I am trying to get a quote from another dealer to rub in his face. I don't wanna walk If I don't have to, cause no other dealer is remotely close or convieniant for me, I would much rather to get it from this dealer, but time will tell.
