04 Throttle body Beeping

Hello ralliart world,

Today i cleaned out my throttle body but since we have an electronic throttle control i turned my key to on and put a brick on my gas pedal so it would stay open but now when the key is turned to ON there is a little continues beeping sound comming from the throttle body area. The sound goes away when i turn the car on and when the keys are out. Just wondering if its something to worry about.

Ps: I was wondering if there were bolts on the brake discs.

Thanks in advance

what's the brick for? the throttle control is under the hood, lol...is it like a tone or a buzz? pretty sure that's normal...

buzzing is normal at full closed position. I'm not sure if you are familiar with electrionics or pulse-width-modulation, but the servo motor that controls the throttle opening runs on PWM in order to determine how much or little to open the throttle. It's not possible to use variable voltage (like a dimmer) to control the opening of the throttle due to motor limitations and longevity reasons (that method would burn out the motor). The frequency and pulse-width at powered, but full closed, cause the buzzing.

In layman's terms, buzzing is normal, if you notice that it goes away and you can hear the throttle plate opening and closing when you open and close the throttle that is also normal. when running, there is enough of PW to keep the throttle open a bit to idle that the buzzing stops.

Refer to this video, you can hear the throttle servo self-check upon turning the key to on. Also note the throttle control at 1:27 in my video that I use to rev the engine, this is what CrAnSwIcK was talking about.

Hope it helps

4 bolts, 2 clamps.

Then you can take it off and actually clean it
