Sprintbooster?

Has anyone tried one on the RA? If so, what is your opinion?

They are kinda cool in a sense of something different but no real gains are made. It just tricks the tps each level is more throttle with less pedal but it's the same hp. Say normally you push the pedal 50% way to the floor the throttle will be at 50%. With the sprint booster you can put the pedal 50% to the floor and it would be at 100% throttle, depending on the stage your on.

I'm suspecting the RA already has a greater-than-average amount of throttle opening per pedal travel, so I was just curious if anyone has found the SB to be a fun and interesting change anyway.

This exact thing has been mentioned in the other forums (370z, mini, hyundai, etc) that I've been checking - and it is reported that the SB does just that!

Sprint Booster isnt for the older Lancers. They use drive by cable. Sprint Booster only works on drive by wire "electronic throttle systems". Everyone seems to not understand exactly how it works. But it is something I have on my Lancer and a lot of guys / gals in my local club for their 2008+ Lancers and EVO's.

Its one of those things you have to use to understand. The number one reason for buying it would be to battle the non intellegent CVT transmission on the lancer. And to sort out the low speed traffic goofy behaviour of the SST tranny. Plus the added response makes it fun to drive.

Sorry I wasn't trying to dis you or anything just saying this would be a great product instead of having a Reflash but since it seems it won't work for our cars... What i was thinking on doing to try and get free power was to take the stop out from the bottom of the pedal and dremmel the stop where the cable hits and see if I can get it to go to 100%

Pretty sure that we have no mechanical link from the pedal to the throttle body.
Anyway not a tragic loss if like lots of others they did not include us, sounds like marbles in a can anyway.

Yea the '04-'06 Lancer Ralliart uses and electronic throttle system. The cable doesnt go anywhere near the Throttle body. lol
