Power Steering Fluid

This might seem really ****, but thats just me so deal with it.

Mitsu specifies replacement PS fluid as "Mitsubishi power steering fluid." After much research it appears their fluid is based on ATF II or III. So I ordered Eneos auto trans fluid that the manufacturer says meets the Mitsu specs (Red Line and Motul are two more that claimed they did too).

Anybody had any issues with replacement fluid? Cranswick? (I know you replaced a steering pump)

I drained the reservoir and pump, changed the pump and topped up with Mobil super ATF+4 temporarily for chrysler transmissions and power steering, worked well enough, but at the time mitsubishi belleville said they didn't have it, i figured they didn't want to sell it to me unless i paid them to do it, cause i can't see why they wouldn't have a fair bit of that stuff in stock all the time, or maybe they were actually out of the over the counter stuff, i didn't need 4 gallons or anything, lol, which is likely what they use for service, but i didn't ask and just sorta took a shot in the dark at Canadian Tire as far as that went, there was probably still fluid in the rack, so that is all OEM, the rest is the new ATF, i didn't do a full drain...later i got some OEM juice from the dealer, and did a half assed drain and topped it up back up...but i keep the mobil stuff in the trunk incase i spring a leak or something...
