Ralliart Type D service

Hello,

My car is due for the type d service. The guy from Markham is quoting me $1300 for the service, and is doing me a "favour" by giving it to me for $1150.

Anyone have any suggestions as to how i can get this done somewhere else cheaper? Does it affect my warranty? The Markham said it would, but i don't know how much i trust him.

Thanks!

It can be done by any shop...as far as I know. Just make sure that they are licensed, and keep your receipts. I had my timing belt, water pump, balance shaft belt, and valve lash adjusted by another shop.

It's just one more way for Mitsu dealerships to bend us owners over again and charge hundreds more than they need to with the the excuse that if this stuff doesnt get done your car will blow up and wont be covered under warranty.

They are basically service intervals...a,b,c,d. "a" being oil change, filter, fluid check, suspension check, exhaust check. "b" is the same as "a" but with a couple added things like tire rotation and air filter replacement and so on and so forth. They add little things to the service before it, and charge a bit more...all the while telling you that if it doesn't get done by them it voids warranty.
