Rear Battery install/ Headlight restore

I figured this would be a good place to post this. My battery went comatose on me so I needed a replacement. I figured now would be a good time to move it to the back. I have a few photos and also a photo of the temporary power connection under the hood until I mount my + and - posts. Only question I may have for someone is on the power terminal what is the fuse used for that is on one of the power cables? And the strap that came with the box is a temporary solution, my auto store was out of the new battery tray that I am going to bolt to the frame then place a better metal tie down over the box. and image the headlight all foggy and yellow( i forgot to take a before pic hence the imagination before restoring) thanks and hope you like it.

Sweet looking battery install and remarkable headlight lens restoration (best I've seen).

I would think that fuse is to stop that battery cable from overheating/burning if excessive current draw occurred, due to whatever.

i really need to do a proper headlight restoration...lol
i have one new headlight(left), and the right side looks like crap...every now n then i hit it w/ the meguiars "restoration" buffing compound..but it still looks not too great....still hazed...but shiny...hard to explain..almost looks like the inside of the lens needs some work...

i saw this just after i saw another restoration done at work...they look like new...its crazy...the sad part is ive had a proper kit for over 2 yrs(the good kind....w/ sandpapers, buffing compound and uv sealer....just havent used it...lol)

Thanks RalliartN. And to nekkidlad, like i said imagine the headlight sbeing completely fogged out, it really needed to be done, afterwards the headlights work ALOT better. amazing what a clear lens can do. I used the kit that came with the drill attachment so it made things really easy and didnt take long, about 45 mins for both.

Nice nice nice luckiest ralliart ,you get a ,I'm just happy as hell that there are pictures of the topic not dumbass questions about it that can be easily found.

The front end picture brings back memories but I would suggest to put the battery on the other side to help balance the car. (just a suggestion) This is something I have been wanting to do for a while as well.

And nekkidlad get to it ,it's summertime and time to show it off.

I was either going to mount on passenger side or in the middle where the spair goes, I can see putting it on pass side more for the balancing out of vehicle with me in it. but I need to get more power wire first, only had 12 ft this time and reached but with not a whole lot to spair.

Good to know ,so 14 ft would be plenty ? I have a hole drilled near the passenger rear strut from my nitrous bottle.

Ive been wanting to do a trunk relocate for a while too. Guess i was waiting on my old battery to give out so i had an excuse to do it. But a friend of mine's Mirage was bought used with this done. it has wires for both +and - running from the front to the trunk. Did you ground yours in the trunk (every guide ive seen says to do that) and does it really make a difference?

My battery bit the dust so that's why I did mine. And I've only ever ran the ground in the trunk. That's what I did this time as well. And I grounded the ground under the Hood. When I finish the terminals Ill post a few more pics.

Lanzerralliart. Id say 15-20 just to be safe and make sure you have enough. Depends on final decision of how you would run the wire. :-)

Here you go Racerx. And no clue as to why he is disabled.

Ernest and others are what we car spambots, they aren't real people but exactly what their name suggests. They are booted from Evom quickly , when you get banned that's what shows up "Account Disabled"
