Hello I have recently totaled my 05 ralliart, and not sure if its worth fixing, the frame is twisted a small bit. But I have found a cheap 04 lancer es and was looking to see if it would be worth my time to buy it and swap everything,

Only thing is the o4 is auto so my main concern is mounts, I know that i will need to swap everything computer, peadals, etc... but has anyone tried this or know if its worth it

i wouldn't bother...you'd still have an ES interior, rear drum brakes and sloppy suspension...the amount of work to do the engine swap doesn't seem worth it when all is said and done, you'd still be driving an ES, with a slightly more powerful motor...the amount of work to do a full ralliart conversion to an ES is even more absurd...are ralliarts THAT rare in NL?? if so, it might be worth a trip to mainland Canada to find another, there's tons of them for sale in Ontario...

 

Its not that there rare here but that everyone who has one doesn't want to sell it, and if they do its not a good price at all. Most of the ones that are for sale are also involved in accidents.

and if I do go to the mainland for a car id probably look for an evo 8 which are rare here.

All the same might fix my RA its not to badly beaten up just looking to see what would require less money.Time will tell.
