I agree with that and I wont give up on her although everyone is telling me I should. But then again when shes going to be ready shes gona spank!!. Also thanks for the tip but ill be using a lift mabey I can add a 2x4 in the back to make it a little lower in the front.

Btw you think about me in the morning I didn't know our relationship was getting to that point :P

anyways a lift has addjustable jack pads, so maybe if you're not too low, you can get away with that...

i know what you mean, even tho my RA has been a kind of maintenance money pit, tho the only ones telling me to get rid of it and not fix it are my wife and half of my mind...(wich the other half overtakes quickly anyway..)
my wife just about hates the car...she hates how the suspension is so "stiff", how it makes noises and how it's too loud among other things...
but yet she understands my bond with it is marked with blood and sweat...(and money...)

just because it's out of shape doesn't mean it's unhealthy...
whe it's done it'll be just as good if not better than her car...(in my eyes)

just stay with it, and be happy

This implies you will ever get done with the car, either than crashing/selling/dumping it...

Good luck with that :P

i've alredy imposed a limit on myself of how far im willing to go...(granted moneywise i've passed it...oh...i dunno...like 3 months into buying the car...and it's been 4 yrs i've owned it now...) but parts wise i plan on not going very far...just so i can say "it's done!"...(even if it just means "for now")
im very hessitant about getting lowering springs because ive heard with the monroe shocks(which i've got) they just blow them up almost instantly and then i'd have to buy new ones again, plus i don't ever track it, i just drive spiritedly, and i think the car handles good enough for my purpose as-is...
i do have certain things planned but other than the new clutch, TOB and trans rebuild, they're all minor...(xept for maybe the solid mounts but that's only kuzz the trans will be out and may as well either get new ones or solid ones, since they're off the car already anyway...)
i'm honestly not sure i want to get a rear swaybar of either of the other rear suspension mods kuzz i know i'll end up being like "OOH!..i like it...how much better is it with this OTHER part on it too?.." and then get it and be like "OOH!..i like it...how much better is it with this OTHER part on it too?.."

and it'll just be a viscious cycle of spending and fixing..(not that it isn't now)
specially since we're trying to start a family and get a house etc etc...im really trying to keep the "unnecessary" spending as low as possible..only reason i got wheels is kuzz some1 gave them to me for free...but now i still have to get tires...so i saved ~$500....but still need to spend ~$500 anyway...(it's still ~$500 i dont exactly have, tho thank god i can do payroll deduct for them once summer gets closer...)

Get the swaybar . If I could have only picked one mod to do on my car it would be the rear swaybar again and again. My favorite mod by far.

LOL I sat down a long time ago and planned out all the mods that I wanted for the RA the cost was overwhelming.... haha So I just decided to save up and do one thing at a time, keeps it fun, ever changing, and interesting. Granted it seems like every time I go to add something I end up fixing something at the same time. LOL

And from someone who has most of the suspension mods (lower springs, shocks, sway bars, tie bar, H brace, strut braces) It makes an awesome difference. If you could take your car around a curvy road, put on all the suspension mods, then drive it again youd see there is an insane amount of difference. My car has ZERO sway and roll anymore the thing feels like its hooked on train tracks. I love it. I know its only going to get better once it warms up and I can swap on my new wheels and tires.

But if you got the spare coin for the suspension mods. DO IT! I love them and the car just doesnt handle even close to the same without them. When I first joined I didnt believe the other guys who were telling me this exact same message, but it is so true. haha

yea yea i know....but it's very hard for me to save...
and when i DO save...even tho we have a savings account, something always happens and i can't use the $ for what i want but for sumn else instead...like bills or sumn dumb...

for example: a few years ago i saved up a bunch of $ and was about to buy a bunch of stuff and then my work got slow, and i eneded up having to give up the $ for car payment, and other stuff we could've easily used our savings $ for...but of course we were saving that money for a REAL emergency instead...(like for example our wedding..)

and basically since then i haven't had the chance to save up anything...even tho i got a raise at work, it's gotten slower so i actually get paid less now(and if i change work we'd also loose allt he benefits and i'd likely get paid less just about anywhere else)....and my wife got a raise also, but now finally she's paying taxes(before she was paid under the table at her work for ~4 yrs), so that raise and then some also goes all to taxes...and now we both make "so much $" our joined tax return is less than half of my taxes alone of any of the last 4 yrs...and basically we agreed almost all of it will go towards the car(TOB, clutch, trans rebuild, etc)...

Well life, and maintenance should come before toys. And I know exactly where your coming from. I got a 1% raise at my last job after a year of working my *** off. Didnt see one penny of it after taxes and everything... granted it was only like 250 more a year so it wouldnt have made much of a difference anyway. Oh well i left that place and got a much better job now. But do what you gotta do bro! There will always be time to mod later.

like i said...i know...but i dont ever get the extra $ to save and when i do, it all ends up going to somethign else instead...

last time i actually bought but had to return a rrm downpipe and a udp...so technically i ended up w/ only wiper blades....kuzz thats all i had enough for leftover...($7ea +tax..lol)

sucked so much kuzz i bought them udp and sent out a money order, the guy got it ansd was nervous kuzz i forgot the sign the bottom so he sent it back and asked me to sign it, so i did and sent it back and he cashed it, and was gonna send me the pulley, but the same day he was gonna mail it i sent him an email saying i was in hard times and needed the $ back instead...so he made another money order for the ammount and mailed it back(but he remembered to sign it), and the pipe i just told otter(who i was buying it from) just keep it in the garage kuzz i never went to pick it up yet, and i'd probably buy it again in a month or so..lol(been like 2 yrs now)
