Well like the title says what do you guys think? I know we would be able to use a couple things turbo, wastegate, bov, intercooler maybe some of the piping? Whats your take?

manifold is key, is engine specific and will determine the type of turbo you can use, and the position it will be mounted in, which determines the shape of your downpipe and charge pipe...after that it doesn't really matter what you use, pipes, BOV's and intercoolers are universal so long as you can make them fit...I used OEM Mitsubishi turbo and BOV, because they are known to be reliable...lots of people use cheap Chinese ebay turbos...some last, some don't...

I wouldn't trust anything bought off ebay that wasn't a brand name. Most of that **** is built in China anyways. And why would you put pure garbage on your 20k+ vehicle? Do it right or don't do it at all is the way I look at it. Being it is a rallyart I would give cbrd a call and ask them about one of their kits.

5k or 20k doesn't matter, fact of the matter is the kits are garbage, best advice is take a look around at the kits that the reps make and try to put together something that will make it last and that you can count on.

there are no kits for this car...well there's one "reputable" kit from RRM, and it's just as bad...uses a Chinese knock-off turbo...

I know there was someone on here that did a rallyart turbo conversion that used crbd stuff. Maybe it was custom but I do recall seeing it I would give them a call and see if they can do for you.

Never seen a kit for an 04-06 RA from anyone other than RRM and the attempted Turbo-kits.com one on Brent's RA. It must be nice to be supported by every shop with a decent name like the Evos and newer RAs... The OG RA never got that kinda love.

What Crans said is correct. The intercooler, pipes, bov, will all work. Will the turbo last long? who knows... Ive heard of people running chinese turbos and never having a problem, also heard the exact opposite. If you dont mind to take the chance then go for it.

If there were 10 guys with cash in hand I am sure the turbo kit can be made. That was the issue no one jumped onboard.

The question "How much would you trust a ebay turbo kit?" Answer "About as much as I trust a woman with an adam's apple" not so much.

6,200? why the hike? wasn't it like 4k before...same company? You'll have to talk them down Brent if you want people to get on board...at that price i would recommend RRM, god forbid...also some kind of payment plan, lay-away, financing etc. would probably get more interest...let's face it...most people who can afford to drop 6k at once, probably aren't driving FWD lancers.

my setup originally cost me $2k, and it took me a year to put it together...and i make a decent wage. of course if i was single, i could probably afford 4-5k.
