Wheel/Offset Question

Wheel/Offset Question
So, I wanted to get these wheels in 17x9.0 +20

but I'm not sure what the stock offset is for our wheels (04 model), I'm thinking it's around 40 like most cars?
Anyways, if I get this, I know the wheel would stick out a bit, but if I would cut the fenders and install fender flares (Kind of like K3LV), would I be able to ride on these with little-no problems? I'm still kind of new to this whole thing, I just need new wheels, mine are crap .-.
