OBX Header and Downpipe or custom downpipe

Hello all. Can anyone advise me if the Obx header and downpipe are worth it? I have read on here that the stock header flows pretty well but I know the downpipe is all crushed and restrictive. Should I just have a local exhaust shop make a custom downpipe with a highflow cat? Or will Obx header make more power than that? I am planning on getting a catback exhaust as well. Thanks!!

I think you should invest your money in other areas. Like intercooler and pipes.

Only the 9G generation is boosted. 04-06 ralliarts are NA 2.4L 4G69 engines.

You know the power gains are so minimal that if you can tell the difference after, it's all in your head...the engine was engineered to produce a certain amount of power and move a certain amount of air at certain RPM...there are things you can do to make small improvements, but simply increasing exhaust system capacity will not be very beneficial, in fact it will reduce low-end torque, which is what this engine was designed to have, and is they best thing it has to offer...horsepower is gained at the top end, but is minimal due to the rev limit, and long stroke of the 4G69...as you know, horsepower is a function of torque over time, and increases only with RPM. The most effective way to gain power without increasing compression, displacement, or valve lift and duration, is ECU tuning...and even then you're lucky to get 10% increase in power reliably.
