4g13 to 4g69 swap
4g13 to 4g69 swap
Hello guys, I'm all the way from Egypt.
would like to ask some questions please🙂
I have a Mitsubishi lancer 1.3 2006 I wanted to swap the engine and put a 4g69 the 4g69 is gonna be from Australia I suppose this means the engine will make about 155hp
Anyways my major fear is fuel efficiency I've seen people saying the Ralliart 06' 2.4 makes about 10.2L/100km I dunno what's that in miles I suppose 22 or 23 miles per gallon, roads here are narrow slow and traffic jams are everywhere..
1)I wanted to know if I drive easy and go soft of the pedal can I achieve any less miles per gallon?
this car drinks fuel, I mean the 2020 seat cupra 2.0T has nearly 300hp and has pretty much the same mileage.
2) second question is, how much horsepower would I gain with bolt ons (without a turbo), I mean if I add a cold air intake and a full exhaust system from the headers and better spark plugs..
I was really curious to be honest and I was rethinking about just swapping in a 4G18 and do some bolt ons but I really wanted smth above 140hp, the 4G94 is good and all but in city I read it burns more fuel than the 4G69
Help out please, and thanks

I can help with question 1:
My Ralliart got a lifetime fuel efficiency of 10.1L/100km, most of that was commuting through city traffic with the occasional road trip. Best it ever got was ~7L/100km going from Calgary to Edmonton, which is an overall half kilometer elevation drop so on average downhill the whole way. My newer ride, a 2019 WRX, has 100 more hp but again commuting etc. uses only 10.5L/100km. If fuel efficiency is your main concern you may want to stick with the 1.3. The 2.4 is certainly fun and capable.
