I still check this site from time to time. I noticed a lot of variations in creating the grills . I have a few Ideas, since I got into an accident last year I have to remake my grill.
Happy New Year Guys and Gals.

Hey there! It's been a while! Happy new year to you and please extend my best wishes to everybody else from the MCCC too!

I'm still (very slowly) working on mine... I'm in no rush since I'm not installing them until next spring anyway. I hope that at least they'll be close to perfect when I'm finally done with them...

the DIY grille i did was a bit different.. i'm not a big fan of mesh at all, so i just took the OEM grille, cut the plastic fins out, sanded, bondo'ed and resanded it so it looked a bit empty. But after a while it looks sick, and plus i have LED's behind my bumper that give my car a minor "Accent" lighting, nothing too overdone, looks sick and i get comments about it all the time. I'll take a photo of it sometime.

Are you talking about Jang's pics? 'Cause they are showing... I just checked his site to make sure.

We all pretty much did the same thing anyway. You have to be minimally handy to get a good result (especially if you're using Bondo, that thing hardens so damn fast!)... but it changes the look of the car for the better, trust me!

Also, be very carefull when you cut out parts of the original grille... one slip of the Dremel and you end up working much longuer with the bondo (to get the shape right) and the sandpaper.

yeah most people use gutter guard... check home depot or any such store... most big places will have a variety of fineness and finish. Comes in small rolls.

Thats what I used, Gutter guard, Its the right width too and cheap as hell. I also have a few Ralliart Grill badges if anybody needs them. I'm actually due for a repaint on my grille but I'll probably wait for spring.
