I went to I Rep 838's web page. he's in Cali. so low elivation, and with an RRM CIA and a cat back system he ran a legit 15.03. When i wrote to him and asked him about it he said he was running 15.6 before the mods.

my friend timed me 0-60 in about 7.3-7.5... thats not bad for stock and having another 200lbs in the car i suppose... motor trend said RA stock does 0-60 in 6.9 and 14.9 on the 1/4 then some other mag said 0-60 in 7.7 and 15.6 on the 1/4... just depends on teh driver and the grip of the tires on teh road

FYI: Not even a best tuned Evo (modded) can pass the 11 seconds for quarter mile time.

So what; I saw a guy at the track a while ago with a high 8 sec 78' firebird, still street legal. It had a 632ci engine, tubbed, cheater slicks (just road legal), had replaced many steel body parts with fiberglass. My point is that there is always something faster. Besides this is the RA forum not Evo. Sorry, I just wanted to get back on track.

I ran a 15.7 at Lechester, Ny; but I spun the wheels through all of 1st....rookie mistake I rolled through the burn box and got the tries wet...oh well.

i find that the best launch speeds for me (sunny warm day, mid humidity, lower elevation) is around 3400-3700 rpm... any more and the tires spin too much... at this speed you just hear a "err errt" and you go...
