Post Best solution for the Ralliart's front end

So Im getting my ralliart '05 at the end of july and would like to modify the front end because I just think its a bit ugly/pontiac sunfire. I was thinking about putting some eye lids to lower a bit my lights and probaly changing the bumper for something better looking. However I dont want to look rice so I need something that looks good but not agressive.

Any ideas?

I also found that many ralliarts '04+ owners removed the triangular part of the bumper (where the Mitsubishi badge is). I think it looks alot better but how hard is it to do?

Any better ideas?

Thanks for the help!

yeah never seen it either. i actually like the accolade kit for the RA, as long as its becked up with power, but not evrybody shares this opinion. but he eyelids do make a big diff.

maybe paint over the front chrome mitsu symbol the same color as the body.

yeah, i think i know what you are talkin about with the triangle stuff. the lil plastic pieces on both sides of the emblem in the front. i took mine out and put mesh in there and i think it makes a nice lil difference. its not hard to do just pop the little plastic rivets out with a flat head screwdriver. i can't wait to order the eyelids, those look real good.

It was the JDM grill. I think its ugly, looks like a Honda with it on there.

I will post pics of my grill. Its meshed and looks pretty good.

I've seen a pic of a Lancer Ralliart with an EVO front bumper.
I thought that was pretty cool, but probably expensive?

karass, you can get the Evo8 Conversion bodykit for lancers. I say it looks just like a Evo but with RA engine =P Really good looking (if you think Evo looks good). Someone posted a thread earlier for a group buy for the accolade bodykits for lancers. Check it out

the group buy is an awesome deal too
only problem I have with the EVO 8 conversion is the fact that there's a big gaping hole in the front where the intercooler usually is on the EVO. the means it's the radiator that'll be exposed. (dunno if that's really a problem... is it?)

also, I'm not sure how the stock Ralliart fog lights are gonna fit on the EVO bumper either since the shaping seems different (upside down, maybe?).

one more thing, I just realized that the EVO 8 isn't in Canada because the EVO 8 failed the front bumper test. From what I read on a different thread:
***Jesse00 said: "Evos does not pass the front crash testings for the front bumper. Lancers are able to pass the testing because mitsubishi reinforced the front bumper to make it stronger. But heres the catch, the reinforcement for the bumper is located where the intercooler suppose to be for the Evo (got this source from a post in this forum)." (hope you don't mind me quoting ya, Jesse00. Ya just got the info I was looking for, is all).***
So... hmm... guess I'll e-mail Accolade and see what they say on this I hope that the EVO 8 conversion front bumper fits on the "reinforced bumper" portion.

Other than that, the EVO 8 conversion is a good solution for the Ralliart's front end, IMO (Although I think the front end looks pretty cool already).
