I was impressed with the quality. Everything seems tight and well put together. Just the rattle and knob. Mine hasn't come off.

I have 6500 miles on my Ralliart (sun & sound package, no mods) and have had the left dash rattle for most of the time. An OZ owner at my dealership said his car had the same thing.

My dealership (Murrieta Valley Mistubishi in Southern California) appears to be pretty good. When I send my car in for the 7500 mile service I'll have them check it out. If I ever get it resolved I'll be happy to share the fix, since it evidentily is a problem for more than one of us.

By the way, I've already had my car on the road course with good results, nice balanced handling but with slight brake fade much too early. I've also reached an indicated 125 mph with 250 rpm left until redline and 550 rpm left until the rev limiter in fifth. The car goes from 80 to 110 mph very quickly without downshifting in fifth.

Brake fade? Whatttttt!
I find the ralliart's brakes rock solid! I brake VERY hard usually, pisses my friends off. Have never felt a bit of fade yet. I know how it feels, I was much too hard on my old car's brakes. Brake fade is one thing discs accel at (or don't I guess). Pretty difficult to get 4 wheel discs, on any car, to fade.

You must have missed the part where he said he was on a road race course. The kind of driving you do on the streets, however hard, does not compare.

Unless you're a real idiot, and are driving 125mph on public roads...?

Oh lol, I did miss that part. Slowing down from 125mph, ya there'd probably be some fading lol.

The squeak i hear is similar to that of a dogs chew toy, but muffled.... it sounds like it is coming from the shifter..

You're probably hearing the rubber shift base bushings rubbing against their bolts. A little lube on them, or switching to brass bushings, will fix that.
