if you say money, i'd have to question that.. because i would think doing a separate lancer, then a turbo kit would be almost as much, if not more.. or am i wrong??

unless you like doing it as a project and making ppl really think you have a slow lancer-- but in reality it'll destroy them.. then THATS sweet!

but i think i would pick a cheaper car to make a sleeper instead... like an older mirage!! drop the turbo eclipse motor in there and make it a 400 hp beast!! now THAT'S cool!!!

i found some guy on the net that has one.. i love this thing-- i think it's the greatest machine ever and i keep my eyes out for an old mirage all the time!!

here's his page : www.lilevo.com
I am going to kinda double post here. This comment is a little off topic. I feel you but not pertinent to this thread. We are suppposed to be talking about a 200WHP Ralliart, not his turbo Lancer or whether or not it is worth the money to turbo charge a Lancer at all. Sorry just pointing that out.

The other comment I am going to make is in regards to losing members. I dont know if anyone has noticed (or cared) but I RARELY am here any more either. I just get in to check on updates and such. Reason being is pretty much the same as Boe and IREP. Guys come here with opinions that are meant to be constructive and productive. With these comments and questions there are a select few that like to sit back and swing away in the negative. (baseball analogy sorry). Boe is here to talk possibilities, and if people dont think the Ra can pull 200+ WHP you are INSANE!!!! You might not be able to bolt on that kind of power, but it is there. If a ****ING Civic can do it then use your heads! (excuse the language but its frustrating to read the ignorance sometimes) I am very willing to be the test car and hope I am to prove that EVERYTHING BOE SAID IS POSSIBLE AND MUCH MUCH MORE! Watch what heppens when you do the thing that Boe already mentioned then you change rods and pistons and bump compression to 11.5 to 1 from the 9.5 to 1 it is now. There is always more to be done even when you think you are done...YOU ARENT! Thats why cars get faster even today. Thats what makes America great...there is never good enough or DONE! Now for all those guys who are doubters or just the typical pain in the ***...step up and be helpful to those who want it or get out! Stop driving those who want to help away from the boards. I am not the end all be all of knowledge, but I have valuable .02 and now there are people who wont get it till its too late. OK, my rant is over. Keep pluggin Boe and maybe one of these days I will actually meet up with you.
PEACE,
Michael

I dont know how back I am but its good to see I am being missed *tear, tear, sob, sob*. I would hope that if there was anything I could do for anyone they would just PM me and ask away. I have a hard time with some of these things because some people are so "black and white" that it drives me insane! Remeber everyone...Innovation is what drives this industry and without people like Road Race the racing scene would not be the same.

actually.. is it really off topic? the title is: "Fully tricked out RRM RA"... wouldnt a "fully tricked out" lancer also include talk about putting a turbo on it?

I suppose it would. However, I was really talking about currently available mods. ONLY because they have hp gains that are factual right not....not speculation.
Also, i'm looking at goin' N/A...hehe....a friend of mine has a twin turbo 300ZX and as much fun as it is to drive (380WHP!!) He has it in the shop every couple weeks. I know turbo's have gotten alot more stable...but its not worth the effort and money for me.

he has a tricked out rrm ra because all or most of his parts are rrm products. and since rrm doesnt have the turbo out for the ra, no one cant really say 'how about putting the turbo'...

...and please no more 'why dont you just get an evo?' cuz evo will always have higher monthly payments, insurance, maintainance, etc...

well tru but if you are already spending alot of money on tricking out the car, might as well spend a little more and have something badass.

if they can do that, that would be badass. 13's are respectable.

No!!! Where the hell was NOS EVER brought up? What the hell is the matter with you?!? In this thread, from the very beginning we were talking about getting a car in there that can be done with all the bolt-ons and see what it should run. Rob at RRM says mid to high 13's and still NA (that means NO FI) is the realistic goal. It is people like you that are making me bash my own head into a F'ING WALL!!

Its aight man...don't stress over someone's oversight in a thread. Its cool.

When Rob mentioned the mid to high 13's for the NA RRM Ralliart was that taking into account better rubber, his LSD, and clutch flywheel combo? I think those would SERIOUSLY drop that time....I'd think at least into low 13's POSSIBLY high 12's w/ some weight reduction (nothing overly major). Whatcha think??

I am not stressing over an oversight. This same guy is coming in and doing EXACTLY what myself and Boe already went off on earlier in the thread. It is very frustrating to me thats all. Now back to constructive conversation...

when I talked to Rob, we were talking about all those parts being involved...possibly on my car. We will see. I am not going to dilute myself and think that REALISTICALLY 12's are going to happen without tearing apart the motor and getting higher compression ratios going. But picture a tune on race gas...all the bolt on's...and 11.5 compression ration. hmmmmmmmmm, maybe 12's??? with a little porting too...WHO KNOWS!
