i was making sure we were talking mid to high 13's on completely NA from a 4 cyl with no NOS. what i meant was, if you can pull mid to high 13's without nos, then that is respectable... vs someone slapping nos on something and saying its tricked.

Mitsumichael7 - What would be required to bump up the compression like that? I know a thinner head gasket helps....how much gains would you get if you were to take it up that high??
Daddymac...to bump compression properly would require pistons and/or rods. You can deck the block (shave it down to lower the deck height) the gainss you would see would be fantastic. not surre as to numbers, but it would be very very quick! The MIVEC system is very advanced and very efficient. Basically combine that with the RRM bolt ons and the WHP numbers will compete with ANYTHING out there...built or not! That and the power delivery is so smooth because of the MIVEC system that the performance will be better than even the basic numbers should indicate. It will be fast as a NA car!

I LOVE THE EVO! I have been all over the Evo's nuts for 8 years (when I really got into cars). But this car...the Ralliart is no joke! I have been there and done that with the 4G63, the 4G64, and more and this motor is FOR REAL! Mitsu should learn fromt his development and incorporate MIVEC into an upcoming Evo. that car would be AMAZING! the valve technology with turbo and high boost should be the next level of development. so try not to sound like pgmike and say someting constructive and not..."why not just buy an Evo!"

Michael - if you did have head and piston work done wouldn't you also need to have the ECU remapped to recognize the higher compression? Or is the ECU (and mivec) that smart? What would you guess that work would yeild (obviously in conjuction w/ the typical I/E/H or Downpipe).
Possible to get 250WHP w/ that kinda work? I'm asking b/c I have a friend w/ a 350Z and I think it would be AWESOME to not tell him and then school him at the track! I'd LOVE to see his face! lol
