HELP, they sent me the wrong offset

My understanding is that our stocks are 16x6, 46 offset.

I ordered 17x7, 40 offset, but they sent me 48 offet instead. I think they will create a slightly wider stance than the stockers, but not as wide as I wanted.

- Should I keep the ones they sent me and ask them to knock some $$ off?
- Am I right in assuming that these will stick out at least a little more than the stockers?

Your thoughts please.

I would be a bit worried about it hitting the spring. Have you tried a test fit?

Thanks for responding. What do you mean by hitting the spring? You're saying that the 48ET will possibly rub on something on the inside? No I didn't test fit them. I didn't want them to make any excuses to not send me a new set.

Send them back ASAP. 48 is way too inside and your stance will be inside the wheel wells.

The higher the offset the further in the wheel well they go. 40 will set the edge of the wheel and tire right on the edge of the fender lip.

Mine is 16x7 +42 with 205/50/16 I think the tire is actually what is hitting obviously there is a big diff between BFG KDW and Good**** RSA.

The wheel is also very close to the lower arm of the suspension like 1-2mm and the top of the tire rubs the strut mount. The rubbing isn't so bad that I can't drive it. But the problem isn't going away on it's own

I need someone to help me find spacers for the rear H&R trak spacers would be nice but I don't know what would fit.

Different wheel styles. He may have thicker spokes. I run a 38 offset.

If your tire rubs on top then your tire is too big. I have 18's but with a 215 35 tire and they are the same height as the stock oz's.

It's essentially the same tire as stock just the KDW has a rounded shoulder. The ideal offset would have been +40 instead of +42.. I'm going to try a 3mm spacer in the rear that should fix it. I did a test fit at home today with 3mm washers no I didn't drive on it or lower it down I just wanted to see how far out it would make it and ifi t would clear the strut mount. It should clear now once I get the 3mm spacer. If I would have gone with 205/45/16 it would have been a non issue though so your right.

I'm back on stock wheels Accel went way down and there is a ton more effort involved in steering
