Exactly! MItsu needs to make the GTS the base lancer, get rid of all the POSs below it and then give the Ralli art a 30 hp boost and the EVO a 55hp boost, and cut all prices by $5K

Why not... the biggest complaints are ralli and evo are too heavy , not enough HP and too expensive ... I think mitsu need to address all those issues.

^^ thats the same complaints people have about all cars, everyone wants more power, less weight, and wants it all for cheaper

hell id like to get even better gas mileage, more luxury, and a 6spd manual too, lets add that to the list

You're delusional. Might as well as Santa to bring you a Bentley...a Bentley that costs $20/year to insure and gets 300 mpg on a tankful of water.

Nice to meet you too, what do you drive now that you looking at ralliarts and evos?
Photos are nice!

As for what I'm driving right now, it's...a...Buick Century. Decent enough car, but not terribly sporty.

too heavy... well th US government requires those heavy parts..and that is why no 07 Evo exist in the states...

example:

"Advanced dual-stage front airbags with occupant seat position sensors: Standard Standard
Side-impact head protection curtain airbags (for front and rear occupants): Standard Standard
Front seat – mounted side airbags: Standard Standard
Driver's side knee airbag: Standard Standard
Anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brake force distribution: Standard Standard
Interior head impact protection: Standard Standard
Tire pressure monitoring system: Standard Standard
Three-point seatbelts and head restraints for all occupants: Standard Standard
Height-adjustable front shoulder belts with pretensioner: Standard Standard
Day time running lamp: Standard Standard
Anti-theft engine immobilizer: Standard Standard
Anti-theft security alarm system: Standard Standard
Child safety locks (rear doors): Standard Standard
LATCH system (Lower Anchor and Tethers) for CRS: Standard Standard
Front pedestrian impact crumple zones: Standard Standard"

so no wonder why is heavier then the IX. Besides just pull out the trunk junk and after market exhaust , coilovers and rims, my car weight less then my VIII did /X gsr/

not enough power... well bone stock with only tune runs 12,33 and 110+ mph in 1/4 mile. with 3500lbs . i would not call it exactly weak.

too expensive. Not exactly . My X GSR was less then my VIII SSL. out of door.

so sorry i completely dis agree with that post.
Specially if you take to considaration the extra stuff you get with the X .

@ExcessLancer
Your wish list would be great, but keep in mind here this is Mitsu, they don't have the streamlined production and quality of Toyota or the cheap price and good MPG of Honda. I love Mitsu’s and have had many. Most of them broke and needed constant repair (especially when modified) but I still keep buying them. Am I nuts? Maybe but there is something about the design and feel of Mitsu’s that I like. And when you add AWD and a turbo it makes it that much more appealing, Evo, Ralliart, or GSX.

I think allot of people would agree, that’s why they by a GTS lancer instead of a slightly faster Civic Si that gets 30 something MPG and may cost less.

ExcessLancer,
Did you post on the Club4Geclipse forums a few years back? Your posts remind me of a BMW guy from there. His avatar was a yellow BMW.

Just curious.

Thanks

NO!

and for the record i only drive the 323i cause i got it in 06 with 64K miles for $10K with full service history all complete.... my POS 03 lancer ES was falling apart and i needed a car that would last the life of my loan and negative equity from the POS lancer... I wanted an automatic EVO nine but mitsu decided not to release it in the US market

I officially eat my words about the RA not getting here until Nov. Looks like we even beat Canada!
