2009 Ralliart audio upgrade

Hey all! I got the base audio system (which is awful!) And I am upgrading it, does anyone know how to take both the front and back door panels off so I can get to the speakers?

look behind the door handle for a square piece of plastic(small) pop it off and u should see a screw. Do the same thing with the bar that u pull the door shut with. then look for screws on parts of the door that would be hidden when the doors shut.

Thanks! And of course I was impatient and did it this morning so I got it, BUT! For anyones future ref. They used really funky speaker mounts, so you will more than likely have to drill new mounting holes...

Also, after you take the 3 screws out and pop off the press-ins around the edges, there is one more in the middle of the door that can be gotten to easily by laying on the ground looking straight up, and a long flathead screw driver. I would also suggest instead of removing the window button, just unhook the wire connector.

Btw...the base audio speakers are 4ohm 15w RMS

I don't think the stock speakers are that bad. Maybe a bit under powered, but not horrible.

I do have a question though is it a component setup in front, with 2-ways in the rear?

I don't think so, the front and rear speakers are exactly the same, and unless the deck has some kind of built in output for the tweeders, I think they are just a standard speaker output with a high pass filter on it.

Btw, I put in 4-60W RMS JBL 6.5" speakers, and a 4 channel T400 rockford fossgate power amp and used the stock deck...WOW!!!! My system was good in my last car, but HS! Find em online if you wanna get a great system, I got the whole thing for around $400, next... SUBS!

I got the premium Ralliart, but ralliguy's absolutely right about the difference that buying high-end speakers (which are still pretty cheap) makes for car audio. With good enough speakers you don't even really need a subwoofer (unless you just want to bug other people, of course). The Ralliart seems to be fairly well designed for interior sound, but there's an awful lot of outside leakage when you crank it up...

I know this is late but im getting ready to do this in my wifes GTS.

Did you need any special speaker adapter plates or spacers? Or did you just drill the new holes and mount the 6.5" with no problem

thanks

Did you place the amp under the Driver's seat? Is the RA prewired for the stereo upgrade?
