I'd still get a new gauge, an electrical one too. I hate having all that extra length vacuum hose.
You sound like your really love this car too, man. Treat it better and get some higher quality gear.

i hooked it up the way u did and got it to read to about 14.5 psi.
it doesn't pull much boost from a stop though. Did u notice this too?

WOW! The original poster discovered a flaw in the Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart! Mitsubishi was trying to lie to us and "lancerdave86" made an amazing discovery with his insanely accurate $40 gauge!
lancerdave86, don't listen to TTP or other respected tuners, magazines, or credible, reliable sources in the the industry. You're a genius and they're just jealous of your discovery. Just make sure you wrap your head in foil so they won't read your thoughts and STEAL your discoveries!

You won't hit full boost in 1st gear from a stop since there's minimal load on the car. Try using 3rd gear which will place more load on the car.
its a glow shift gauge and it works perfectly now. idk where all the bashing came from all i know is that i never said anyone was wrong i said this is what the gauge was reading.
Its done its fixed the gauge worx and my diverter valve will be in soon also
