you mean the tpms sensor?
if so you have to get them re-calibrated if they dont reset on thier own after 50 miles.

I think it has to do with the tire pressure sensors they need to be reset.

It has nothing to do with the TPMS sensor. When you get a warning for the TPMS, its own light turns on and it shows you a diagram of your four wheels with the tire thats causing the problem being yellow. I'm speaking from experience here as I had a tire pop recently. If the service engine light is on, it could be due to another reason.

You have to buy new sensors for the wheel or swap out the ones that are in your factory wheels, there is no way around it, ppl have tried so many things...no way around it....for now at least

You can buy aftermarket ones they are cheaper than buying it from Mitsu, but I have heard that they still come on..but there are ppl where it has no issues

TPMS is not $100 per wheel -- even here in Canada (higher prices), if I go to a run-of-the-mill auto shop, I wouldn't be looking at $100/wheel. Maybe in Australian or New Zealand dollars?

I bought my wheels and tires at Tire Rack, and they installed the TPMS and then balanced the wheels -- since I live in Canada, I actually paid slightly more for shipping than I did for TPMS

Wrong. His light came on because he did not transfer the TPMS over. The system notice that his TPMS are not working, becasue they're not there, so the light goes on. Get them transfer over or buy new ones. Only way to solve the problem as of now.

You need to transfer the TPMS or ignore the light

If you're too lazy and don't feel like transferring the TPMS from your stockies over to your new tires - holding the INFO button for a couple seconds when the warning light comes on will get rid of it. (assuming your light is on the multi-function display).

In any case, you should look into getting TPMS on your new wheels...It helps when you forget to do a walk-around inspection of your vehicle prior to ignition .
