Reprogramming TPMS

So, I'm soon to be taking off my winter wheels and putting back my OEM rims and tires. Does the TPMS automatically reconfigure itself? Or does it need to be preprogrammed? If so I would need to get this at the dealership?

I have TPMS on my winter wheels, in addition to the TPMS that came on the OEM wheels -- my dealer told me that (in the spring) they would need to change the wheels back and reset the TPMS, so I'm not sure auto-recognition is how it works. Let me know if the dealer's just messing with me, of course. Maybe you mean if you switch the sensors between the two sets of wheels, or maybe just if you're switching tires on the same wheels (which is a really bad idea if you want the wheels to last)?

I just switch my tires, does anyone know if TPMS rest themselves or way to manually rest them? Dam warning pain in the a_ _.

i never had an issue, got my changed out last week, and swapped my sensors onto my aftermarkets, and the TPMS light didnt even go off..but it should automatically reset itself...should....
