ECUFlash and tactrix cable question??
I'm asked for model selection (choose 2006+ Mitsubishi CAN vehicles....everything else is for older) click read, asks for ignition ON then click OK. I do that, then it gives an error message. Anyone have experience using this that can help?
I did a search but most stuff that comes up is for older EVOs, something about the ECU locked, or not enough voltage for the older EVOs.
I have a CEL now showing after I tried reading ECU. Keeps giving the error message, will CEL go away, or do I need to clear it? (and how can "I" clear it)

What version of ecuflash do you have? When I did mine all I had to do was plug in the tactrix cable and hit read from ecu. You will have to clear the code. Click ecu and then click "exit programming state". After that click ecu again and click "clear DTC's". The cell will be removed.

After hitting read, it asks you to make sure your engine is running correct? when I push ok, it says failed. I chose 06+ Mitsus, that's what you had right? nothing like 2008+ EVO shows, correct?

the top link is the software I'm using. It reads the vin # then says unlocking ecu, then something about seeding then gives an error message.
That's the correct ECUflash right?

The one that says ----> "Download Openport 2.0 J2534 DLL and Drivers Here (Windows XP/Vista x86/x64) - only for non-EcuFlash users"

I'm confused now ... the openport 2.0 is a driver file for the Tactrix cable. The ECUFlash software does the reading, so don't you need both?
It clearly states that ECUFlash 1.41 supports CAN reflash...?
2009-01-29: Version 1.41 released

add support for EVO X CAN reflash

It SHOULD be working, it reads the VIN# of my car then says unlocking ECU then gives error. So it IS communicating to some extend with the ECU.

load the 1.4 and then load the open port 2.0
open ecuflash and before you try and read the ecu look through the menus and be sure there is nothing that lets you set it to use the open port connections.
Im goin to go outside and check this process myself right now. Ive done it quite a few times that it just connects so I dont remember the details. Ill report back.
