..the resonator is an intregal part of the "mid-pipe".

it may be a good idea to go to a muffler/exhaust shop , have them remove the

mid-pipe , fab up a new one with no resonator and no flat spots/kinks.

or...........cut out the resonator and weld in a section of straight pipe.

i do not think the second option would give any benefits.

Your welcome, what I would have done is take it to a shop so they could cut it out and then flange the new piece on either end so it fits over the stock exhaust pipe.

? ? ? ? you had the car 1/2 day and you had the resonator cut out.

what were you looking to happen by having that done ?

here my 2 cents

removing the resonator will give you no gain!!! but just noise!!! there is still the same restrictions because of the cheap *** stock muffler now... if you just remove the muffler and do a axle back custom pipe with just a tip... you will feel a gain... just a little and you notice that the turbo spool faster but then its not much... but hell as loud... i know because i had nothing better to do then remove the stock muffler and just ran it off the mid pipe on the track!!! haha

evil

....maze,

when you get to the point of ditching your stock muffler.

......sell me the muffler. i am going to build my exhaust from my high flow cat on back but use the stock muffler shell.
