Get lighter wheels, get rid of your spare tire and the tools inside the trunk (of course whenever you're stranded in the highway your only way out is calling to get towed); get a small battery kit, get a different exhaust (as soon as someone comes out with a much lighter muffler whether its single or dual; depends on your preference)...

all that and you might shave about 70 pounds off the car... not too much if you ask me... besides the wheels are aout 20 pounds each, and light BBS wheels (14lbs) are about 800 bucks EACH!

Other than that, I wouldn't mess around with getting rid of safety features or my back seats unless I'ma make it a track car... I need the back seats for my upcoming children

I doubt any 5 series weighs that. There are probably some non "L" 7 series that are even under 4400.

Small battery kit, weight hanging off the back of the tcase, spare/tools, lighter wheels, a front brake kit when we get it finished would be ones you could do without sacrificing any comfort.

For the more hardcore, he Quartermaster 2 piece Evo X driveshaft may fit and our Evo X carbon fiber roof fits.

yeah and by then spent about 8grand by then..

id rather concentrate on the proper mods to make the car faster..especially if its a daily driver you dont really want to go into removing safety features and other things.

ok correction I read the sticker on the side of the door wrong, the almost 4,400 lbs is for max weight that the car has when fully loaded with fuel, passengers, and cargo

I was able to weigh my RA and it came in at 3511 lbs.

I'm on a mission to lower the weight on the car. Has anyone here made any succesful weight reduction measures? If so, post it here, and the calculated exact weight reduction.

I'm going to start with the Spare wheel (obviously) , and some new light weight rims (gonna take me some time to find them). Any more suggestions, post them here. Thanks.

you can remove the inner back steel bumper and the front steel bumper,at the front though you would have to adapt something to take its place, i went to my local scrap dealers pick n pull and adapted a Styrofoam front inner bumper off a 2010 mazda ,its amazing what you can do with a hand saw lol
