Question After 850 miles....

I started noticing a difference when i first drove the car off the lot, til now 850 miles. I want to believe that I just got used to the power but I know this isn't the case.

Before, my car would pull hard in normal mode and engine quiet.
Now, my car is still quiet in normal but wont pull as hard.

When I was tweaking with it, I drove around for 20 minutes before testing, cause of the turbo. But it's weird to me how the normal mode would pull nicely around 3-3.5k RPM's and now it kinda just... doesn't. Feels more like it gas saving jump to 6 gear with no turbo. Also It's really weird how i can go to 5k RPM's (normal mode) and feel no big pull at all really, unless its manual/sport mode. ECU maybe? I have no idea if ECU can alter based on driving patterns

But i was wondering 2 things:

1. Is there any way breaking in the motor could of...hmm.... maybe alter the "normal mode" ECU so it doesnt pull hard? I've tried to floor it and it goes from 1k RPM to 5k RPM and I dont feel any real pull at all, however in sport i can do same exact revs but i feel the turbo pulling waaaay harder.....

2. Why doesnt my car pull hard around 3-4k RPM like it used to? I drive around for like 20 minutes to let turbo charge up, but I only get the noticable pulls from sport or manual mode....

Any thoughts, imputs or hopefully a solid answer would be awesome.
I would greatly appreciate your time. Thanks!!!

Car is also completely stock. I've only added pioneer deck unit and stereo system into it. Just incase you were wondering if I put parts into it, I didn't.

I am a complete noob so don't listen to me but I honestly don't think its the ECU...
If I were you I would just go get a tune and reflash...
you should basically get it as soon as you drive the car off the lot, will help you save gas and get the true performance out of it.

In my opinion, its the ecu adapting to your driving pattern. That technology has been here since....forever. To test whether this is true, go out and trash your car for a bit. I'm sure the feeling will be back

The car adapts to your driving style. When it's new, it's probably adapted itself to test drives, which is a lot of hard driving. Once you got it, you probably started to drive more conservatively and it adapted itself to that style.

Try going ***** out for about half an hour.

The pioneer setup gave it an extra 300 pounds which ultimately made it slower

There's a bunch of factors that determine how your car runs everyday; Today when I was coming to work I tried my best to push my car but it was all jerkish and sluggish, while yesterday night I couldn't feather it cuz it would just take off.... lots to do with humidity and how hot it is outside but in your case yeah like the the other members have said it's more of how you normally drive your car and the ecu seems to adapt itself, that's what I think aswell

Transmission learn your driving style. It doesn't up shift as fast. It probably felt fast to you when it went through 6 gears before you even hit 40mph.

You also could be used to it...
Sport mode makes the up and downshifts so much faster too.

Reset the ecu by taking the negative cable off of the battery. Then it'll feel fast to you again.
The car never really pulled that hard. Maybe up to 3-4k rpm.

Hah, maybe the sub added like 15 but anyways from what im reading and what people are saying is that the ECU does in fact adapt to patterns.

So does this mean if i get an ECU Reflashfor like 500 bucks or w/e ill eventually drive itself back to before the flash?

Also you were saying stuff about outside weather humidity etc... and i totally forgot to test it with AC off n on, bet that could be a afactor too.

Thanks all for the help!

So your saying just take it off and put it back on? would that mess anything up?

i find normal / auto mode annoying as f**k no matter what it does.

i spend 99% of my time in sport / manual modes........

...........and make the car feel and do what I want it to.

..........sport mode AND in manual mode.

you do not have to let the motor rev high all of the time.

in sport / manual shift when YOU want to. the shifts will just be "firmer".
