Question about the UR and AMS intake

I was wondering which most people prefer on these boards. The UR intake or the AMS intake. I am pretty torn and cant decide on which one to get. I like how the UR is with it not altering much of the factory intake scoop and the price is right, but the AMS one looks good but would have to get a mini battery on top of that but its expensive. So which one has better quality and which one will have less issues doing a flash or tune? Thanks for reading and let me know your decisions. I plan on getting one of these but I dont know yet.

the UR is more of a short ram intake, AMS cold air. So it's an old debate. Essentially though cold air is always better for an engine. But like you said that battery kit really increases the price. As for affecting a tune i believe both would but others should be able to answer you better.

the cold air on a car with a larger fmic isnt going to draw colder air, and the intercooler will cool both fairly equally before they enter the manifold(intake)

With the UR you will need a tune for it, as it runs hella lean because it has a larger airflow.

the audible increase is awesome though, you can hear the turbo even at low rpms under lil to no load, and the bpv is quite loud.

Will this help with get up and go with the car? I like how the bov sounds and wanted to know if I should get an intake first or exhaust. my ralliart is pretty stock right now but I just need some direction on the best approach on what to get. I know the basics of what I want. Wanted to get the performance before the looks first.

In that case, assuming you have a budget of around $800:

Intake + Tune: good for 40+hp, will hear your BOV better
Exhaust: good for 15+hp, will sound like a beast

first question you ask yourself before modding is.. do you care about your warranty if not then go for a tune.. it will give you the most gains for your money.
