Ralliart Tricks?

A little while ago I figured out how to raise and lower the roof of my BMW with just the key, and since then I've been trying to find other cool tricks in my other cars. Also, I know that a Honda Civic lets you put a custom message on when it turns on.

Anything on the Ralliart that's interesting in that sort of way?

Supposedly the new 911 turbo disengages the front wheels when you yank the hand brake. Some cleaver bloke figured out that by pulling the hand brake 1 click, it wasn't enough to physically engage the brake but it left the car in full rear wheel drive mode half the time.

Not sure if doing that on the AWD would put it in fwd, rwd, or do nothing at all on the RA...

OP: good question. my mom's 4runner locks the doors when you put it in drive, and unlocks when you put it in park. it was done with some program sequence. anybody know if we can do that on the RA? might be in the manual, but who wants to RTFM...

I think almost all cars made recently do that, but usually only when you start to drive forwards.

I think the manual says that pulling the e-brake, it will disengage the REAR wheels, so you would be in FWD mode . This is so you can easily engage a drift when doing rally-style driving

Not my RA. My gf always makes a point to lock the doors whenever we start moving. In fact, she worries more about the door swinging open by itself than the seat belts, which she forgets to wear sometimes.

If you have the navi, you can program the car to lock when you engage D and unlock when its put into P. If you don't...rtfm.

Really? that blows, i wish i had that feature. With the navi u can program basically the whole car, ETACS is what its called i think. U can even fine tune the audio system to ur liking and even the wipers........now that i think about it I think i'm gonna be upgrading next year, lol.

As for base models u can unlock all doors instead of jus the driver door when u touch the handle.

i'd consider reading that again. pulling the ebrake puts the acd into a "free state." that's means it won't clamp to stop spinning wheels to regain traction.....think 4 wheel power slides.

From what I remember...it doesn't just disengage the rear wheels, it just locks them too. It has been awhile since I've opened my manual though, I'd have to check again.

Here's one...
When you get your oil changed at a dealership, your in-car bluetooth memory gets reset & you have to re-pair your phone to your car. But, all of your contacts/address book is still there.
After my 3k oil change, I switched to synth. and started doing my own...no worries for me

Yeah I heard that you can program a lot of stuff with the Navi computer. Wish that was available with a USB cable and software, so you could get things done for those who don't have the Navi setup. I wish you could change the color of the console display. It would be nice if I could in one ON/OFF button turn off the traction control and put it in sport mode, nice little launch control button. I still want to swap my traction control button around and put it next to the shift.
