^tru i agree. I mean if heavy ice and salt is the factor for the problem i don't think that its too much of anyones fault directly. It was only i guess after the the 1st few winters after the 2008 release they realize the issue. It happens. Which has pretty much been fixed for 2010.

The brake booster yes, problem i didn't like that either but it still applies to the guinea pig "theory". The fact is Mitsu is handling these issues in a timely matter and doin their best to prevent problems in the future. There are cars that have the same continuing issues even after they are so called fixed by the dealer.

very true, not to mention they are handling them and not deciding to weigh cost versus potential failure and decide it would be cheaper to pay off lawsuits than repair or replace known bad parts. there are companies like that out there,(cough, ford pinto gas tank explosion, cough) im just glad i didnt shop with one of them.

I'm sure the cost of lawsuit + tarnished reputation for a brand new platform was probably projected to be more than the cost of recalls.

But yeah, i'm glad they're taking care of it.

If that happens then they will definately have to leave the US.

I've come to realize that Mitsu is working real hard to turn things around for them and I commend them for not giving up a few years ago like ppl thought they were. It might not happen a year from now or maybe 5 years from now but judging on the direction they took with the Outlander and Lancer i beleive one day Mitsu will be ahead of Toyota if they keep it up with the rest of the lineup.
