ASC shut off
ASC shut off
So this morning it was about -12 below or something like that. I always let the car warm up for at least 10 minutes before driving.
As I was leaving the car beeped and the service light flashed, the ASC had stopped working.
(WOW does that system make a difference!)
Anyway I stopped for about 5 minutes and when I got back in the ASC was working again.
Should I take it in anyway? Anyone have this happen to them?

Someone woke up on the wrong side of the futon this morning...

I would be happy to discuss my sig with you if you actually had a thought longer than a 30 second commercial. My attempt at making a funny statement and being clever just didnt wash and therefore you thought "well this guy deserves a harsh statement from me".
Besides I thought all Cali people were cool and relaxed sheesh.

This has not happened to me at all. Is your car garaged? I would definitley take it into the dealer if I were you. Seeing as the cars obviously still have a few bugs to deal with. If the car is not garaged it could be the extreme cold messing with the computer somehow.

As for the problem, I havent had that. Two mornings ago it was -34 C, I had the block heater on and other than the strange noise reported before I have no issues. Well actually, sometimes I do get the low tire pressure warning until I drive for a couple minutes but it goes away.
I love my car but I've had the thought that maybe they havent been built for Canadian winters.
I've had my ASC shut off once last year, but that was related to the amount of snow/ice that built up in the wheel well. That stuff was so packed in! I went out and kicked it all out and ASC turned back on just fine.
Don't know if you've got lots of snow there or not,

I live in Chicago and last night decided to have a little fun in our dock parking lot and do some donuts...
I first got the "warning" about the swerving conditions... nice little picture letting me know what I already knew.
And then I got the "Service Required" and that the ASC was off!!!
It's a big parking lot and I didn't hit anything, so I was a little freaked. I turned off the car and restarted and it went away... ANNOYING!
How many glitches, flaws, recalls are we to take? Seriously not cool.

It is amazing the amount of tire pressure drop you get from cold temperatures.... but I would assume you re-inflated or at least checked them for winter usage.
