remote starter

Does anyone have the Mitsu OEM car starter? I thought I seen it on here for 400 something. Also how hard is it to install yourself if anyone has done it?

Nevermind I found the promo code from Russel and got the starter for a decent price.
Hope the wife likes this for her Bday.

Should be nice man. I got a starter for my wife's car last winter. Help get her car warm and cozy when she gets inside.

as far as your original question, install shouldnt be very difficult at all. everything is pretty much pre-wired and ready to go. the only thing you wont be able to do is reprogram the etacs computer to recognize that the remote starter is installed. you're gonna have to go to the dealer on that one. if you sweet talk em real nice and bring in some cookies or donuts or something, they shouldnt charge you any more than a half hours worth of labor to get everything working, assuming of course that you installed it properly.

In Canada they do not official support the Semi OEM starter. apparently its because the company that makes it was licensed to make it by Mitsu Japan, but because they are not official an OEM part. North America is taking the 10 foot pole approach to this unfortunately.

wow, that sucks. if the programming is present in the etacs tables, and just needs to be turned on once installed, i would think they would give it the

I had the Mut-III hooked up to my car tonight. I was looking through the etacs programming and the remote starter option is already turned on. Does the factory remote starter have a separate remote or does it work off of the factory F.A.S.T. key fob?

Does anyone have any pictures of it? Its a lot more expensive than an aftermarket one, but if there is little to no wiring and no extra key or transponder bypass required, I'll nut up for it.
